STUDENT EXPECTATION

In order to get the most out of your lesson time, the expectation is that you or your child will practice at least 15 minutes a day, five days per week.  For very young students, a weekly goal will be set based on the material covered in each lesson.  For older or more advanced students, 15 minutes is a minimum, and a more preferable goal would be 30 minutes per day.

With regards to material, please anticipate on purchasing the recommended books.  In the case that you and your student has books in hand from a previous teacher, your teacher may first work from the material provided, but might request additional material upon examining both current needs and skill level.

TO PARENTS OF STUDENTS

Your encouragement is an essential part of your child’s success.  Asking your child at one point within the week to hear the material he/she is working on in is a wonderful way to keep them motivated, expand their performance skills, and maintain a relational investment in your child’s interests.  Your awareness of your child’s success will also allow your teacher to best teach your child, in thereby being able to communicate a students personal musical goals, discuss any challenges, and share in weekly successes.

YOUR INVESTMENT

May your investment reap so much more than the ability to read notes on a page. Our teachers hope to be known, to you, as a friend, and to your child, a role model.

Standard weekly, 30 minute private lessons are $25 per lesson. However semi-private lesson formats, and even occasional group classes, are available. Please use our contact form to speak with us about pricing based on your needs.
